I got to see Liz Phair in concert at the Ryman! She was doing the complete Exile in Guyville, and then played as her encore “Supernova,” “Johnny Feelgood,” “Spanish Doors,” “Polyester Bride,” and “Why Can’t I?” It was a phenomenal concert that 21-year-old Past Joanne would have cheerfully murdered somebody to see. It was fabulous and I’m so glad I got to go.
