We went up the hill today to look at our trees that were planted two weekends ago. About half are showing signs of life, with most of the cherry trees showing at least a few buds, and only one of the elderberry bushes showing leaves (the other ones might have grown a bit or it might just be wishful thinking on my part). Also we have a ton of purple flowers blooming – not sure what they are, maybe dwarf larkspur?
