Last weekend we planted 10 black cherry trees and 10 elderberry bushes as part of the Tennessee Environmental Council’s Tennessee Tree Day (the banner and images below are from their site, of course):
They start out as very tiny seedlings with just bare roots. We got some garden mesh and stakes and zip ties, and fashioned protection for our seedlings:
I’m excited to see what happens with them, and how many survive.
