the patina of a well-rained street

napowrimo_plum We spent Easter weekend with my in-laws in Kentucky, so I had a quiet time to get a lot of writing done. I’d already written Thursday’s poem – a haiku – and finished Friday’s poem yesterday, and then stayed up until one in the morning finishing Saturday’s, which turned out to be a two-and-a-half page monstrosity which I’m counting as two poems for the purposes of NaPoWriMo, because, damn. I managed to put together something semi-coherent today, so I’m a day ahead of myself now.
